Yukon's Tombstone Territorial Park encompasses the moody pinnacles of the Tombstone Range and the expansive Blackstone Uplands, a swath of tundra flanked by mountains and known for superb wildlife viewing. The park lies in the traditional territory of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in First Nation. Tombstone is popular with birders and naturalists, and hikers find solitude and exhilarating views. In late August, the tundra becomes stained with rivers of crimson, gold and ochre as the first frosts nip the vegetation.
